Cookie & Local Storage Policy

Last updated: 28 May 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar storage technologies (such as browser local storage) that EasyReza uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy and applies to the EasyReza website and web application.

We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP), the EU GDPR, and the ePrivacy Directive ("cookie law") as implemented in EU/EEA member states. Non-essential cookies and similar identifiers are only set after you have given consent via our cookie banner.

1. What we mean by "cookies" and "similar technologies"

"Cookies" are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. EasyReza also uses local storage (a similar browser feature) to remember settings such as your language or dark-mode preference. Local storage entries are not technically cookies, but the same consent and transparency rules apply because they store information on your device.

For brevity, the rest of this policy refers to all of these as "storage entries". We use both first-party storage entries (set by easyreza.com) and a small number of third-party entries from our subprocessors (Supabase for authentication and Vercel for hosting).

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

These entries are required for the site to work — to keep you logged in, secure your session and remember your consent choices. They cannot be disabled within the app, but you can clear them from your browser at any time. No consent is required under Art. 5(3) ePrivacy / FADP Art. 30(2)(c).

Functional preferences (optional)

Remember choices you make, such as your language and theme, so the interface looks the way you left it. Set only if you accept the "Preferences" category in our cookie banner.

Analytics (optional)

Help us understand which pages are useful and where the app is slow, in aggregate and without identifying you personally. Set only if you accept the "Analytics" category in our cookie banner. We use Vercel Analytics, which is a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service that does not build cross-site profiles, does not use fingerprinting, and does not share data with advertisers.

Advertising / tracking

We do not use any. EasyReza does not run advertising, retargeting, cross-site tracking or data-broker pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads tags, no LinkedIn Insight, etc.).

3. Inventory of storage entries

The table below lists every storage entry EasyReza sets on your device.

This inventory is reviewed at every release and updated when we add, remove or change a storage entry. If you spot an entry on your device that is not listed here, please let us know at privacy@easyreza.com.

4. Your choices

a) In-product consent banner

On your first visit, our cookie banner asks for consent to the Functional and Analytics categories. You can accept all, reject all or pick categories individually. Strictly necessary entries are never optional.

You can change your choices at any time:

  • Open the cookie banner again from the link in the footer.
  • Or clear the cookie-consent entry from your browser's site-data settings; the banner will reappear on your next visit.

When you withdraw consent to the Functional category, EasyReza actively clears preferredLanguage, darkMode and showDisabledTables from your browser. When you withdraw consent to Analytics, no further analytics events are sent and any previously placed analytics cookies are cleared.

b) Browser controls

All major browsers let you block, delete or be prompted before cookies are stored, and let you clear local storage. Look in "Privacy", "Security" or "Site data" within your browser settings:

c) Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control

Where your browser sends a "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid objection to non-essential storage and do not load the Functional or Analytics categories. We currently do not act on the legacy "Do Not Track" header because the standard has been deprecated.

5. What happens if you reject non-essential storage

The service stays fully functional. You can still log in, manage reservations and use every feature. The only impact is:

  • The interface will not remember your language, theme or floor-plan preferences between visits.
  • We will not see aggregate analytics from your sessions, which slightly limits our ability to spot bugs and slow pages.

6. Third-party services that may set their own storage

  • Supabase — authentication subprocessor (Switzerland region). May set short-lived session cookies and uses local storage to keep you signed in. Required for the service to function.
  • Vercel — hosting and analytics provider. Vercel Analytics is cookieless. Vercel's CDN may set short-lived security cookies for DDoS protection.

We do not embed third-party widgets (social media buttons, embedded videos, chat widgets, advertising networks) on the authenticated app or the booking pages, so no third-party advertising or social tracking takes place.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we add or remove a storage entry, change subprocessors, or when applicable law evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will also be flagged via the cookie banner so you can review and confirm your choices again.
